  • Dr. Yehudit Elkana

    Chair of the Board
    Dr. Yehudit Elkana is a physical chemist, founder of Yesh Din and Machsom Watch, and a longtime activist involved in peace organizations in Jerusalem.
  • Dr. Yael Berda

    Dr. Yael Berda was raised in the Gilo neighborhood of Jerusalem, and there she began her work as an activist. She was active promoting equality in housing, education, wages and the environment as well as advocating for local independent governance. Before she became an academic, Dr. Berda was a lawyer in the fields of constitutional law, administrative law, and international law. Now she serves as a faculty member in the Sociology and Anthropology department at the Hebrew University and is a visiting scholar at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Her first two books focused on the organizational structure of Israeli military rule in the West Bank.
  • Prof. Naomi Chazan

    Professor Naomi Chazan is a Professor Emerita of Political Science and African Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and is a lecturer and fellow at leading academic institutions around the world. She currently serves on the board of the New Israel Fund and is the head of the School of Government and Society of the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yafo.
    Professor Chazan has served in many roles throughout her esteemed career, among them: Former Deputy Speaker of the Knesset and Meretz Knesset member; former president of the New Israel Fund; Chair of the Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Peace; and founder and leader of the Israeli feminist human rights movement.
  • Dr. Maya Kahanoff

    Dr. Maya Kahanoff is a lecturer in conflict resolution at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Ben Gurion University and the Jerusalem Charedi College. She is also a researcher at the Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Peace of the Hebrew University and the academic director of the Palestinian Israeli Bereaved Families’ Reconciliation Center.
  • Atty. Elias Khouri

    Elias Khouri is an attorney who specializes in issues of policy, property, and human and civil rights in Jerusalem.
  • Dr. Alon Liel

    Dr. Alon Liel is the Chair of the Movement for Israel-Syria Peace, a private consultant, and expert on Israeli-Turkish relations, and a lecturer at a variety of universities and colleges. He served as the former Director General of the Israeli Foreign Ministry and is the former Israeli ambassador to South Africa.
  • Ari Paltiel

    Ari Paltiel is a demographer at the Central Bureau of Statistics, an adjunct lecturer in the School of Public Health at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Heidelberg University in Germany, and is a board member of Bizchut – The Israeli Human Rights Center for People with Disabilities.
  • Dr. Malka Greenberg Ra’anan

    Dr. Malka Greenberg Ra’anan is an architect and urban planner working on urban renewal projects in Jerusalem. She has a Ph.D from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she also completed post-doctoral studies, a Master’s Degree in Geography and Urban Studies from Hebrew University, and a Bachelor’s in architecture from Bezalel College of Art and Design in Jerusalem. Dr. Greenberg Ra’anan’s research focuses on the daily lives of Israeli and Palestinian women in Jerusalem.
  • Prof. Elhanan Reiner

    Professor Elhanan is a professor of Jewish History at Tel Aviv University. He is an expert on Jerusalem and specializes on Jerusalem during the Middle Ages.
  • Nadim Shiban

    Nadim Shiban is and social worker and the Director of Projects at the Jerusalem Foundation. She formerly served at the Department of Welfare in the Jerusalem Municipality and is the founder and an active member of Ossim Shalom – Social Workers for Peace
